Who We Are

The Atlanta Woodturners Guild (AWG), Chapter #274 of the American Association of Woodturners, was formed to provided camaraderie and support to fellow woodturners.

​

Our general meeting each month is currently on the third Wednesday

from 5:00 - 8:00PM at this location:

East Roswell Recreation Center

9000 Fouts Road, Roswell

(just off of  Holcomb Bridge Road), about 2.1 miles west of the Woodcraft store)

Our new monthly meeting location at East Roswell Recreation Center - 9000 Fouts Road, Roswell

The meeting features a demonstration by local, national and international turners,

a Show and Tell session and a monthly Raffle. Members are contacted via email prior to each meeting to inform them of any changes to time or location or meeting content.

​

We also typically host a Hands On Turning (H.O.T.) training session on the first Monday of each month. Those sessions (usually fee-based) are held at:

The sessions feature a day of training in techniques taught by knowledgeable mentors and local turners (pre-registration is required; space is  limited).  Members are contacted via email prior to each meeting to inform them of any changes to time or location or meeting content.

Turners of all levels are invited to attend our monthly meetings and our H.O.T. sessions. The Guild also maintains an extensive Library of Woodturning DVD's, Books and CD's which can be checked out by Members.  A Family or Individual membership is $50 annually.  Come join us!
