Nick Cook a nationally known woodturner is a founding member of the Atlanta Woodturners Guild. He also is a founding member of the American Association of Woodturners. Nick served six years on the AAW board of directors, including one as Vice president. He lives in Marietta, Georgia, where he owns and operated his studio. In addition to creating one-of-a-kind pieces and his staple gift items, Nick teaches and lectures on various woodturning topics, has written articles for several woodworking magazines and produced two videos.

Sawmill Creek Woodworking Community

The Sawmill Creek woodworking community provides a forum to discuss the full spectrum of woodturning and woodworking in general. This is great site for getting help and advice on turning matters. Use the search feature to find a wealth of information on most any turning topic. You will need to register as a community member to post, but not to search, read and learn.

Forums are the heart of WoodCentral, where you can visit for timely and informative answers to every imaginable woodworking question. The depth of knowledge and experience you will find here is excellent. They feature nine different message boards, and an extensive message archive.

This site is a valuable source for woodturning. It has message boards, a woodturning gallery, online videos, tutorials, projects and tips, plus a tool and book store.

An excellent web site from Brian McEvoy a professional turner based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He has a newsletter which you can sign up for. It features products, how-to videos, and instructions on tool usage, plus many other informative articles on enhancing turnings.

Woodturning Online is a source for woodturning information, projects, community and vendors. They have an excellent newsletter to which you can subscribe. It features many woodturning projects with instructional videos and articles.
